Policies & Guidelines
If you ride with us, please remember:
All passengers must have seat belt, child car seat or wheelchair restraints in use while the vehicle is moving.
- Do not tamper with vehicle and/or transit equipment, as it may be needed to help you someday.
- Pets must be in a proper carrier. Service animals are exempt as they are not considered pets.
- Reasonable hygiene is expected; please do your best to not offend others.
- Use courtesy with the driver and other passengers. No loud, rude, or profane language will be permitted.
- No use of tobacco, alcohol and/or possession of illegal drugs allowed on the bus.
- Food and drinks must be in a closed spill-proof container. Refrain from eating on the bus.
- Understand we must accommodate all riders, some bags may be limited.
- Children must be accompanied or have a Child Rider Policy signed and on file at the ABC RTA office.
- For the safety of all riders, please wait until the driver has stopped driving to ask questions.
- Reasonable accommodations may be available upon request.
- ABC RTA reserves the right to refuse service

Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act provides that "no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance" (42 U.S.C. Section 2000d).
ABC RTA is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of its transit services on the basis of race, age, disability, religion, color, sex or national origin, as protected by Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), ABC RTA will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs or activities.
The ADA does not require ABC RTA to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of ABC RTA, should contact the ABC RTA Transit Administrator.
